there’s a part in always that goes “i’m a fly that’s trapped…” etc and i think it means like he still has feelings for ryan (be they platonic or romantic) that maybe he doesn’t want to have and then the “but i’m thinking that my spider’s dead” part is basically ryan doesn’t like/love me anymore
